Chris Paul! Damn you!!!!!!!

Great article by Kevin Cott on the current future greatness of Chris Paul. Every time I talk about Marvin "Sexual Healing" Williams, I try and talk myself into the pick. Immediately prior to the draft, I knew Paul was the correct choice, but I also was pretty sure the Hawks would draft Williams, so in my quest to not be a Hater I tried to justify why Williams was a great pick. And he may just turn out to be one of the all-time greats, a real special guy. But he might not. And Chris Paul looks like he is definitely the real deal. Barring some attitude problems (not out of the realm of possibilities) or back problems, Sir Billy's pick was not the one the Hawks needed.

It's a little like apples and oranges. One isn't necessarily better than the other, except imagine a world in which apples only come along once every 3 years. Maybe the orange could be the better fruit, but a delicious apple is hard to come by, and that makes it better, doesn't it? Especially if that apple is giving you almost 8 assists a game. Oh well, I guess he'll just have to be the Nut-Puncher that got away.
