These Are My Readers

From the comments:
So what's the rumor they were spouting on 790 the other morning? Harrington and J-Chill to Philly for AI. What do think?

I don't know if this is anything but rumor, but I'm all for it. I love Josh 1, don't get me wrong. He could be the best 6th man in the league every year, and he could be a borderline All-Star in a few years. I'm not sure about his peak level of athleticism, but he has tons of heart, a great basketball mind and he works really hard. Every team could use a guy like him. Al "True Professional" Harrington doesn't even get a comment from me at this time.

I think AI would be a great fit here. He's in a place in his career where I think I could be an amazing point guard. In Atlanta he wouldn't even have to be the focal point for the backcourt on offense, and his dribbling skills and passing are phenomenal. Pound for pound he is arguably the best player in the game- if AI had Kobe's body, who do you think would be a better player? Tough to say.

AI has done the scoring titles, he's made the run to the finals as an MVP, and I think he would act as a leader on this team. He's come through a lot as a person to get to where he is- some of it he hasn't been able to escape, but I don't think you can knock his character. And you bet your ass that Atlanta would love them some Allen Iverson, some ATL Answer, some HotAI...

I think he would work well with Joe "Kid Dy-no-mite" Johnson, who is an absolute pro (and apparently a Southern Man from Little Rock- bonus points). Joe wouldn't mind splitting ball handling duties, and they've shown that they can both play the 1 or the 2. Not to mention the fact the Iverson Hawks jerseys would instantly be in the top 5. I've mentioned Iverson as a possible fan favorite for a couple of years- what Mike Vick has done for the Falcons cannot be overstated. A guy that is exciting to watch, that the fans love- it draws positive feelings to the team, as well as acting as a great bargaining chip when getting other players to sign (although that hasn't done much for Philly, I must say). All in all, I would miss Childress but I would love to see this happen.

Plus Harrington in a 76ers jersey just seems right.
